National take a hike day is on November 17 annually. There are 60,000 miles of trails in the National Trail System across the 50 states so there is no excuse not to get outdoors.

There are tons of events scheduled to celebrate Take a Hike Day. It is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the outdoors. Hiking can burn between 400-550 calories per hour. That is a great way to stay fit and enjoy the good old nature. Get your hiking shoes, snacks, and your hiking buddies ready to go!
